After receiving a scholarship from La Caixa, Carmen Jiménez majored in Screenwriting and Film Direction at Columbia University and lived in New York for five years, where she worked as an editor, filmmaker and scriptwriter.
Carmen cowrote the feature film ‘Adiós’, directed by Paco Cabezas (Apaches y La Claqueta, 2019). More recently, she has developed several film and television projects for Freemantle, Dynamo and The Immigrant, among others, collaborating with Félix Viscarret, Carlos Marques-Marcet or Benito Zambrano. Currently, Carmen is working on other television projects for Morena, Brightstar (UK), La Panda and Legendary (US).
Carmen has directed several short film projects, like ‘Oasis’, which gained recognition in several festivals and was awarded by the DGA in the US, among others. She also graduated at the Berlinale Talent Campus Script Lab and at the Cine Qua Non Lab. Her projects have been supported by different Spanish and European institutions.
