Carmen Jiménez

INFORMATION

After receiving a scholarship from La Caixa, Carmen Jiménez majored in Screenwriting and Film Direction at Columbia University and lived in New York for five years, where she worked as an editor, filmmaker and scriptwriter.

Carmen co-wrote the feature film Adiós, directed by Paco Cabezas (Apaches y La Claqueta, 2019). She has been screenwriter of TV Series La Mesías y La Red Púrpura and collaborates regularly with renowned filmmakers such as Félix Viscarret, Carlos Marques-Marcet or Los Javis.

Recently, she has developed film and television projects for Buendía, Beta Films, Fremantle, Netflix and Movistar +, among others.

Carmen has directed multi-awarded short films such as Oasis and her latest work, Lava, candidate for Goya 2024. Her experience includes participation in prestigious programs such as the Berlinale Script Lab and EAVE, obtaining support from various European and Spanish institutions for her projects. Carmen is currently participating in the Coofilm screenwriting residencies and the CIMA Mentoring program.
