Edoardo Leo<\/strong> was born in Rome, Italy. He graduated in Literature and Philosophy at the Sapienza University of Rome. He is a director, actor and screenwriter. His first film directed in 2009, Diciotto anni dopo,<\/em><\/strong> received great critical acclaim and was nominated for the Nastri d’Argento and David di Donatello Awards, eventually winning numerous awards at festivals around the world.<\/p>\n

In 2013 he released his second feature film, Buongiorno pap\u00e0<\/em><\/strong>, which tells the story of a man who suddenly discovers he is the father of a teenage girl.<\/p>\n

In 2015 he presented the film Noi e la Giulia<\/em><\/strong>, which he directed and starred in, and which won a 2015 Nastro d’Argento for best comedy and the David Giovani Award at the David di Donatello Awards.<\/p>\n

Again in 2016, he directs his fourth feature film, Che vuoi che sia<\/em><\/strong>, starring Anna Foglietta and Rocco Papaleo.<\/p>\n

In 2022 he presented Lasciarsi un giorno a Roma<\/em><\/strong>, a film he wrote, directed and starred in, and his first feature-length documentary, Luigi Proietti detto Gigi<\/em><\/strong>, winner of the Nastro d’Argento Special Prize.<\/p>\n

In 2023 he directed and starred alongside Massimiliano Bruno in I migliori giorni<\/em><\/strong>, nominated for the Nastri d’Argento Awards for Best Actor in a Comedy (Paolo Calabresi) and Best Actress in a Comedy (Valentina Lodovini). His latest feature films are I peggiori giorni<\/em><\/strong> and Non sono quello che sono<\/em><\/strong>, the latter nominated for the Special Audience Award at the Locarno International Film Festival.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
