Liliana Torres was born at Vic in 1980. She graduated in Cinema Direction by ESCAC (2004). <\/span>Her dissertation was the short movie <\/span>Anteayer<\/i><\/b> selected to represent the new women directors at Muestra de Cortos Realizados por Mujeres.<\/span><\/p>\n

She receives a grand to specialize in documentary at CCC (Mexico). There she will stay seven years. Those will be a very productive years in which she will work as a director, producers, writer and editor. She directs the shortmovie Quince a\u00f1os, winner of the Distribution Prize of Miami Film Festival for Children. She edits the videos for the exhibition <\/span>Eternidad Fugitiva<\/span><\/i> exhibited at Palacio de Bellas Artes. And she is executive producer of <\/span>El lenguaje de los machetes<\/i><\/b> selecte at Venice\u2019s Critics\u2019 Week.<\/span><\/p>\n

Back to Spain she directs and produces her first hybrid documentary-fiction <\/span>Family Tour<\/i><\/b> that will have its premier at San Sebasti\u00e1n Int. Film Festival at Zabaltegui\u2019s section. After a good number of festivals: REC Int. Film Festival Critics\u2019 Award, Citation at Atl\u00e1ntida Film Festival, Best European Movie at European Crossing Borders, Best New Director by Catalan Director\u2019s College. <\/span>During these years she complements her academic career with a Master Degree in <\/span>Helping Relatioships.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2018 she premieres <\/span>Hayati<\/i><\/b> co-directed with Sof\u00eda Escud\u00e9, produced by Boogaloo <\/span>and Les Films d\u2019Ici Films in co-production with Movistar +, Tv3, Al-Jazeera, France 3 <\/span>and ICEC. Citation of Young Jury at M\u00e1laga Film Festival and Best Documentary by the Journalists\u2019 Association of Catalonia.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2020 she continues her academic career with the course Experto of Leadership and the Master Degree Leadership and Group Management at Barcelona University, which she completed in 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2021 she premiers <\/span>What went wrong?<\/i><\/b> Her second hybrid between fiction and <\/span>documentary. Oficial Selection ad Sevilla Int. Film Festival and Tallin Film Festival. Winner Best <\/span>Photography at Mestre Mateo Awars 2022. Since 2022 she is also teacher at the University of Barcelona.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2024, <\/span>Mam\u00edfera<\/span><\/i> premieres, winning the Special Jury Award at SXSW for Mar\u00eda Rodr\u00edguez Soto’s performance.<\/span><\/p>\n
