Jaime Ol\u00edas de Lima was born in Madrid in 1989. In 2013 he graduated in Audiovisual Communication at the Complutense University of Madrid. Subsequently, he studied a Master’s Degree in Film Directing and Fiction Screenwriting. At the same time, Jaime combines his film studies with his his film studies with his training as an actor with teachers such as Carmen Rico, Clara Cosials, Pilar L\u00f3pez and Adrien McCour.<\/p>\n

In 2011 he takes off his acting career for series and films such as: “Promoci\u00f3n fantasma” by Javier Ruiz Caldera (2012), “Open Windows” by Nacho Vigalondo (2014),”Solo qu\u00edmica” by Alfonso Albacete (2015), “Vulcania” by Jos\u00e9 Skaf (2015), “Seguidores” by Iv\u00e1n Fern\u00e1ndez de C\u00f3rdoba (2018) and the Amazon Prime series “El Cid” (2020).<\/p>\n

In 2015 he received the “Talamanca futuro” award at the 9th edition of the Talamanca de Cine awards, and the award for Best Actor at the Festival de Cine y Televisi\u00f3n de Le\u00f3n 2017.<\/p>\n

As a director and screenwriter, Jaime has made a large number of short fiction films with more than 100 national and international selections.<\/p>\n

His short film “Rojo” (2015) won the Visual Talent Award at the Jameson Notodo Filmfest.<\/p>\n

In 2017, the short film “Hubi\u00e9ramos” (2018) was selected in more than 40 national and international festivals (Las Alfas del Pi, Islantilla Cineforum, Gines en corto, Aaretaler Kurzfilmtage). Shortly afterwards, he won the European Commission’s international competition “EUandMe” with his script “The Sound of Mine”. Thanks to this opportunity, he received the necessary funds to carry out the production for the European Commission. The project was presented at the Madrid Film Academy in 2018. <\/p>\n

One year later he shot “Monstruo\u201d, a multi-awarded short film with more than 30 national and international selections (Fugaz Awards, IBICINE, Queens World Film Festival). In 2021 he shot “Chaval”, a short film still in the distribution phase, which has been selected for some thirty selections in the most important national and internationalcircuit (TIFF, Shorts Mexico, Medina del Campo, SOIFF, Huesca, etc.). The short film has been included by the ICAA in the “New Spanish Shorts”. Jaime has received a dozen of awards for this work, such as the Best Direction Award at Cortogenia, the Augusto Award for Best Short Film at the Zaragoza Film Festival, and the de cine de Zaragoza, or the Premio ciudad de Soria.<\/p>\n

In 2022 he shot his first TV series “C\u00f3mo mandarlo todo a la mierda”, with Boomerang TV for HBO Max. The series, created by Jaime Ol\u00edas and Pablo Sanhermelando, is written and directed by Jaime Ol\u00edas.
