At the beginning of the 80s, Benito Zambrano started recording shortfilms. He made his d\u00e9but at the cinema with the film SOLA<\/em><\/strong>\u201d, it is a movie involved in a sad tone, as realistic as lyrical, placed in Sevilla, it talks about the loneliness at the old age and the family ties with which he won several Goya Awards, between them the one for best original script, best new coming director, best new coming actress to Ana Fernandez, best newcomer actor to Carlos \u00c1lvarez-N\u00f3voa and best supporting actress to Mar\u00eda Galiana.<\/p>\n

During 2002 Zambrano directed the TV series PADRE CORAJE<\/em><\/strong>, broadcasted by Antena 3 with the presence of Juan Diego, a men who wants to seek justice after the murder of his son.<\/p>\n

The andalusian director came back to the cinema with HABANA BLUES<\/em><\/strong> (2005), story placed in Cuba starring two young musicians of La Habana who expect leaving the caribbean island looking for prosperity in Spain.<\/p>\n

Six years later he released LA VOZ DORMIDA<\/em><\/strong> (2011), adaptation of the homonymous book of Dulce Chac\u00f3n focused on the testimonials of the women who belong to republican side at postwar times.<\/p>\n

In 2019, INTEMPERIE<\/em><\/strong> was released, a film set in the Spanish postwar period, he won several awards and nominations. It is worth highlighting the Best Director and Best Screenplay awards at the ASECAN Awards, the Best Director and Best Film Award at the CEC Awards and the Best Film nomination at the Goya 2020 Awards.<\/p>\n

In 2021, he presented his film PAN DE LIM\u00d3N CON SEMILLAS DE AMAPOLA<\/em><\/strong>, highly regarded by the industry, achieving a Goya nomination for best screenplay adaptation.<\/p>\n

His latest feature film, EL SALTO<\/em><\/strong>, reflects the situation experienced by sub-Saharan migrants, both those waiting to cross the gates of Europe, as well as those who have already managed to enter.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
