Rafa Lara is a showrunner, director, screenwriter and producer,, with dual Mexican and Spanish citizenships, is a bilingual filmmaker fluent in English and Spanish. Over his 30-year career, he has worked with platforms like Amazon, Disney, and Netflix, creating and directing high-profile projects.
In 2023, he premiered Pancho Villa: Centaur of the North on Disney/Star Plus, a 10-episode historical series that became a global success, and We’re Not Dumb 3 on Amazon. In 2024, his comedy film Family Son debuted at the Guadalajara International Film Festival, and he completed filming a Mexico-Spain co-production for Disney, set for release in 2025.
