Marta Loza

INFORMATION

Marta Loza (Gijón, 1981) is a director, screenwriter and art director.

She holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) and has trained in directing at ECAM and screenwriting at ESCAC.

She recently completed the filming of her first series as creator, director, and screenwriter for Movistar+, Yo siempre a veces, produced by Suma Content. The series is co-directed by Claudia Costafreda and Ginesta Guindal.

Marta has written and directed several short films, including El primer día del resto de mi vida, which won the Premio Nuevos Realizadores del Principado in 2011 and was selected for numerous international festivals.

As a co-writer, she worked on Rara, directed by Pepa San Martín, which received the Horizontes Latinos Award at the San Sebastián International Film Festival in 2016.

She has also worked in numerous series and films as an art director, including Mariliendre by Javier Ferreiro, Teresa, and Across the River and Into the Trees by Paula Ortiz, as well as Diario de un mago by Vicente Amorim. Additionally, she has worked as an assistant director and script supervisor on various national and international productions.
