Tatay read Media Arts at University of London (Royal Holloway College) before obtaining a Masters in Film Direction at Barcelona film school ESCAC. Along the years he has directed advertising, television and music videos. His short film Mano a Mano (Hand in Hand), produced by Escándalo Films, received numerous awards throughout its festival run.

Ignacio’s debut feature, The Chalk Line, starring Elena Anaya, was produced by Spanish industry heavyweight Alex de la Iglesia. Upon its international release on Netflix, the film landed at number 4 globally for the most watched movie that week, number 2 for non-english films. The Chalk Line remained on Netflix’s global leaderboard for four consecutive weeks, making the top 10 of 81 countries, including Spain, Brasil, UK and the United States.
