INFORMATION

Emma Bertrán is a renowned film and television professional with a career spanning over three decades, placing her at the intersection of production, directing, and screenwriting. Her beginnings in 1992 led her to work in Spanish cinema with directors of the caliber of Julio Medem, Imanol Uribe, Agustí Villaronga, and David Trueba. Her talent extended to television, where she was part of the writing teams for successful series such as Hospital Central and ​Á​guila Roja.

In Mexico, she has taught screenwriting at UDEM and the MANTARRAYA film school, and has written commissioned film projects, such as the feature film Sabrás qué hacer conmigo by Katina Medina Mora. One of her most notable works is the co-creation and development of the acclaimed series Un extraño enemigo for Amazon Studios.

She recently premiered the feature film El Diario, a psychological thriller that she directed, wrote, produced, and post-produced for Amazon Studios. In addition, she is the screenwriter and executive producer of the film Juana, the debut film by Daniel Giménez Cacho, produced by Talipot Studio.
